Following on from the Chancellor’s Budget, Mundys are pleased to see more support for First Time Buyers through the introduction of a Help to Buy ISA.  For every £200 saved in an ISA by a First Time Buyer, the Government will provide a £50 bonus, which represents a 25% top up (capped at £3,000).   Based on our February sales statistics, only 10% of the properties sold were to First Time Buyers, so this increased support will certainly be welcomed.

We are currently experiencing a good demand for properties and, with this extra support for First Time Buyers together with the Government’s aim to provide more affordable housing, the outlook for the property market is encouraging.
