The tenancy agreement will detail the period that you are contracted to remain at the property. Should you wish to vacate the property during the contracted period you will be liable for all rents due until the end of this period. With the Landlord’s consent we can remarket the property to find a replacement tenant to enable us to release you from the tenancy at an earlier date. Under such circumstances you would be liable for the Landlord’s re-letting fee for the new tenancy.
Before You Vacate
You should ensure that the property is left in a clean condition, with all personal belongings removed and particular attention being paid to the professional cleaning of carpets, kitchen fixtures and fittings and bathrooms fixtures and fittings. You should ensure the gardens are tidy and all lights are in a working order. Any damage to the property should also be identified.
You should contact the office to arrange your checkout appointment once you have finalised the details of your move. This is completed to check the condition of the property, take meter readings and hand over keys. The checkout procedure is the first part of the deposit return.
