Here at Mundys we have just had our best ever sales month.  In March we sold 60 houses, beating our previous record of 54, and saw a record month in other areas with registered applicants increasing by 18% and viewings increasing by a massive 35%.

I feel these figures clearly show that while the property market in other areas may be struggling, here in Lincoln the market is buoyant.  Lincoln seems to be going through a golden era with much investment coming to the City and an influx of tourists.

Our sales in March saw 13% of the properties being sold to applicants from out of the County and I feel the fantastic success of our football team has further boosted the City’s profile throughout the country which will hopefully lead to further enquiries as people see what a growing and vibrant City we have and the ‘value for money’ properties in Lincoln offer, both as in Investor or Property Owner.

Whilst our sales department has been extremely busy our lettings department is following suit and we have welcomed two new members of staff, one in each department.  Alison Johnson has joined our lettings department as Property Maintenance Manager and she has a wealth of knowledge in this area.  Sophie Barnatt joined our sales team in February and strengthens what is an already experienced team.

And now to football…. Which has been the focus of a lot of conversations in the office.  The Mighty Imps obsession is growing.  During their amazing FA Cup battle the number of supporters in the office steadily grew and we now have some avid followers of the team.  Sam Corner, Sales Negotiator, has been to 24 of the team’s matches this season and Tom Bell, Valuer, has recently taken his 2 year old to his first match.  We can see Saturday working becoming a problem here as everyone wants to be at the match!
